You don't have to wait around anymore for your favorite business apps to be integrated with LimeLight. You can now instantly connect your LimeLight platform with 300+ third party apps. Zapier is an integration platform that helps you automate your workflows and increase productivity with ease.

Using Zapier with LimeLight, you can automate workflows between your apps. For example, you may want to automate saving Gmail attachments to Dropbox.

How it works

Zapier lets you set up "Triggers" and "Actions" to help you automate operations based on your needs.

Triggers are the events in an app that start the Zap. Once you set up a Zap, Zapier will monitor the app for that event.

For example, you can receive a lot of emails through your Gmail account, but the Zap is not triggered until an email contains an attachment.

Triggers supported by LimeLight

Order Type: Approved order, Declined order, or both

Order Actions: Void, Hold, Alert, Refund, Reset Recurring, Representment, Cancel, and Chargeback

Actions are responses to Triggers. That is, it tells what the other application should do when an event occurs. In our example above, the action is saving the Gmail attachment to Dropbox.

Making a Zap

As an example, let's say you want to send a message to Slack whenever a new order is created in LimeLight. Here are the steps:

Step 1: Log into your Zapier account , or create an account.

Step 2: Click Make a Zap!. select ‘Webhooks by Zapier’ as your Trigger app.

Step 3: Select “Catch Hook”, Save+Continue.

Step 4: Copy the Zapier hook to your clipboard and login to your LimeLight account.

Step 5: Locate the Campaign in your LimeLight account that you would like to trigger your zap.

Step 6: Make sure the option ‘Post Back URL’ is enabled in the campaign.

Step 7: Paste the unique Zapier URL you previously copied to your clipboard, in the Post Back URL field in LimeLight. Include any tokens in your URL that you want to pass with your Zap. Select the appropriate postback options that should apply to order type, order status and type.

NOTE: Proper URL formation is very key. When pasting the URL follow this pattern:{token}&variable={token}

Step 8: Save your changes and place an order.

Step 9: After your order in LimeLight is successful, return to your Zapier account and click Continue. This step may take a few moments.

Step 10: You should receive a ‘Test Successful’ message. Continue.

Step 11: Choose an Action App, for our example we chose Slack.

Step 12: Select what you want Slack to create, for our example we chose 'Create direct message'. Save+Continue.

Step 13: Enter your Slack credentials.

Step 14: Map the tokens you serialized in your LimeLight Post Back URL to the Slack fields, and Continue.

Step 15: A test message is displayed. Confirm all field mappings display as expected.

Step 16: Turn your Zap on and you are ready to go!
